How to Delete Your Account

You can delete your Guardyn account and all associated data directly from the app:

1. Open the Guardyn app on your Android device
2. Tap the profile icon in the top-right corner of the dashboard
3. Tap "Delete Account & Data"
4. Confirm the deletion

If you cannot use the Android app, email support@guardyn.tech from the Google account used for Guardyn. We will verify ownership and process the deletion request.

What Gets Deleted

• Firebase Authentication credentials — your sign-in is permanently removed
• Device registrations — all linked devices are unregistered
• Security event history — all local and relayed threat alert records
• User profile metadata — alert email, preferences, FCM tokens
• Local encrypted vault — evidence files on your device (deleted on next app open)

What Is NOT Stored

Guardyn uses a Zero Cloud Persistence model. Photos, videos, and audio recordings are never stored on our servers. They are relayed to your email and discarded immediately. There is no cloud backup to delete.

Data Retention

• Account deletion is immediate and permanent
• Stale device metadata is automatically pruned after 90 days regardless
• Rate limit counters are cleared on deletion
• Account re-creation is available after 30 days (cooldown period)
